Who Are We?

The Northfield Historical Society is a virtual historical society, existing exclusively on the World Wide Web. We hope to be a compendium of the visual history of Northfield, Illinois through creating and maintaining a searchable data-base of images, documents and other scannable historical materials.

The Historical Society has produced a book and a videotape on the history of Northfield and Sunset Ridge School. Titled: The Sunset Ridge Story: It Takes a Village, Too, the book and video are available for purchase at $ xxx. Contact us if you are interested in buying a copy.

Our archives are currently housed at the Northfield Public Library, xxx Orchard Lane, Northfield. They include photographs and videotaped interviews of Northfield residents. Materials can be viewed and researched onsite.

We welcome the donation of any historical materials, including documents, photographs, maps, blueprints, etc. that can be scanned digitally.
